I am Christie Sikora, author of BLOOD and GOLD: Athletes, Tragedies & Dynamism to Peace—a book born from heartbreak, resilience and an unwavering belief in the power of truth.
What began as a single moment in history evolved into a lifelong calling—one I have carried for over fifty years. This story has lived within me, shaped by time, compassion and unrelenting purpose. BLOOD and GOLD is not just my book; it is my heart and soul’s gift to the world, a message of remembrance, reckoning and the hope of true peace.
The beginning of my author journey was filled with trials—a year marked by broken promises, costly lessons and moments that nearly broke my spirit. Then I found Atticus Publishing, a place where integrity, alignment and creative freedom reign. Their extraordinary team restored my trust in the publishing process. With them, I found a home for my words—and for my truth. Because what heals the soul frees the spirit.
A Mission Born from Truth
My mission is not only to tell the untold story of the 1972 Munich Olympics and the painful truths that followed, but to awaken something deeper in the human spirit—a call to unity, to empathy and to global transformation.
I believe we can learn from history to alchemize it into wisdom rather than carry its pain forever. In addition to writing, I founded the Dynamism to Peace International Foundation, a platform devoted to turning education and storytelling into tools for global change.
Every chapter I write, every stage I speak on and every person I reach—it is all part of a greater movement: to ignite peace through the power of truth, to turn pain into purpose and to give voice to the silenced.
